The Crowd Score

See how busy it gets — instantly, with our Crowd Score.

How busy will the country get?

Shows the expected demand for the destination country across the season. A value between 0 (empty) and 100 (packed) for each country and week. It captures the overall travel wave per destination — before we zoom into a single ski resort.

It factors in school and public holidays. Holiday periods from the most popular source markets weigh more heavily per destination than others. On top of that we include online search demand for resorts inside a country and historical occupancy data.

Find quiet ski resorts across Germany, Austria, Switzerland and beyond

If you want to skip lift queues, packed huts and peak times on the slopes, you don't have to give up skiing — just pick the right moment. Crowdless Slopes computes a Crowd Score per calendar week and resort from school holidays, public holidays, weather patterns and historical demand. The result: data-driven picks for quiet resorts, hidden-gem dates and the best travel weeks of the 2025/26 and 2026/27 seasons.

Ski resorts in Austria

Tyrol, Salzburg, Vorarlberg and Styria are among the most popular ski regions in Europe — and often the busiest. With the Crowd Score you can find weeks when the big arenas like Ischgl, Sölden or Saalbach are noticeably emptier.

Ski resorts in Switzerland

Swiss resorts like Zermatt, St. Moritz or Verbier are pricey and heavily booked in peak holiday weeks. Shifting your trip by a single week can be the difference between queueing and empty pistes.

Ski resorts in Germany

German ski areas in Bavaria and the Black Forest are day-trip hotspots — packed on weekends and school holidays, surprisingly quiet midweek. The Crowd Score tells you exactly when the trip pays off.
